Pixel Darkroom Photography

One of the things I’ve learned while working on this project is that it’s not always simple to create simple things, but there is something that rings true in “less is more” and people like simple things. I like simple things. I’m not going to explain how I made this, not because it’s a secret but because I don’t think it matters. Enjoy Day 319. Thanks for coming.

I read somewhere that one of the interesting things about creating a photograph every day for a whole year is that it will help you remember what you did that particular day. I look back and I sometimes remember what I did and how I felt but sometimes I don’t. If I look through the other images of that particular day I may remember what I was trying to photograph, what other things happened or how many different ideas I tried until I liked the one I ended up posting. This is one of the days where I didn’t feel like shooting anything. I’m already tired and I sort of look forward to finishing so I could concentrate on other things as well. Today I shot an empty chair with a zoom lens, available light at highest (and worst) ISO setting on my worst sensor while sitting on the couch. Here it is. I hope you had a better day.
