Day 308

by on Aug.20, 2010, under project 365

I’ve always said that you never know what you come across when you shoot a 365 project. Sometimes you leave the camera at home, or think that for a quick minute, you can just leave it parked in the car, but the truth is, the best camera is the one you have with you, and for taking good images you just need a camera ready. I know I could have probably gotten back to this at some point, but I know, that if I hadn’t had the camera with me, I probably would have shot something else today. I like the simplicity of this image, I like the pattern. I love it how the image shows the endurance and maybe even the struggle of the flower, to overcome the cheaply, faded by time and tastelessly painted fence. I like the aesthetic contrast.

Day One Hundred and Six

by on Jan.30, 2010, under project 365

I’m not going green. This is just my son’s science experiment (the growing grass in a yogurt container) and that’s one of my AAA batteries that I stuck in there for scale. Day 106.
