Day 316
by Andrei on Aug.28, 2010, under project 365
We had a wonderful visit today. Our dear friend Naoki came to visit us. We met Naoki a few years ago when we lived in Boise, ID. He went back to Japan for a year and is back in North America to work on his Doctorate of Musical Arts. It was very fun to see him after almost three years. Our son was very little and does not remember him very well. Our daughter, on the other hand, who was only a few months old, became good friends with him very quickly and she calls him Pinocchi which we found very funny. Being a Japanese and after having lived in North America for quite some time, he got used having his name mispronounced (just like I did) and on occasion he was even called Steve. (!?)
We definitely are excited to have Naoki on Canadian soil and hope to be in touch more often.
Day 295
by Andrei on Aug.07, 2010, under project 365
When it starts to rain, the day right after you got a beautiful image, it’s really hard to go out and get an even better image. I’m not saying anything else right now. Here’s 295 and 60 days left. I can’t believe how stubborn I am. And I can’t believe you didn’t find anything better to do.
Day 267
by Andrei on Jul.10, 2010, under project 365
I used my cheap camera + stock lens on this one. The most interesting is the effect the polarizing filter had on the sky (sunset camera left, obviously). Day 267 and stubbornly counting.
[Note: I never like the exported final images on web resolution and sRGB color space, they look like supermarket prints. Sorry web viewers.]
