Day Forty Eight

by Andrei on Dec.03, 2009, under project 365

As soon as I saw my wife bringing this device at home, I knew that we had stepped into the past; in the same time I realized what a giant leap forward took place during my lifetime. I looked around online for old photographs and vintage ads to see what the ’80s looked like, and couldn’t find any. I didn’t look for more than 3 minutes, it’s true, so maybe that had something to do with it. I tried to capture this as an add. Notice the open space on the upper left hand side. It’s the perfect spot for “The new Panasonic RQ-V60 Portable Walkman is here!” Instead I put it in the caption bar below the photograph. Oh, by the way, I do believe that women should not have immediate access to the latest technological developments, or any access, for that matter. I do keep my wife locked in the house taking care of the kids and the home. Once a month I take her out in the city for a drive, I keep the doors locked and we can only stop in one place.
