Two days at the lake. Can’t beat that.
Day 265
by Andrei on Jul.08, 2010, under project 365
I’ve been working to get different points of view. I’ve had different points of view in the last few images but the ones that I’m thinking about require different “hardware”. This is closer, though, to some aquatic image. I had the camera very close to the water and held my hand underneath so I could feel when the little waves are too close. I did manage to get the camera and the filter wet as well, but not like David Hobby, who dumped it in the water almost entirely. One hundred days left.

Gone fishing.
Day 239

A man seems to be checking the water level before launching his kayak, parked on a flooded bench, where the Buntzen Lake waters rose, due to BC Hydro’s decision to replace a turbine.
Day 204

I saw this rose set on this stone table under the rock. Inscribed on the table there was a plaque “in loving memory…” I wondered if whoever put the rose under the stone knew the person to whom the table was dedicated. Having the stone keep the rose down seemed such an intentional gesture.

"in loving memory..."
Day 193

I like photographing nature more and more. This was my first frame today. I did a bunch more afterwards but this one I ended up liking the most. Believe it or not, this whole water is gone during the day as it is one of the spots where the Pacific Ocean pulls away its tide in the morning. A beautiful place that smells like sea water. I have shot a few images here of which one is part of the 365 project and you can find it here. Here’s Day 193.
